在局部样件顺利获得馆方与设计方认可后,鼎的整体数据在忐忑中也顺利转换完成。不容迟疑,公祭鼎整体模型的3D打印马上开始,由于连续打印时间会很长,这对打印设备而言又是一次挑战,数字化模型技术室的同志们为了应对打印机发生突发状况,实行两班制24小时无缝对接,确保打印质量和进度。整个模型的打印时间从17日到19日,持续时间约53个小时。小型公祭鼎高200mm,鼎身直径167mm。鼎面铭文、记事共计463个字符,最小的文字仅有4mm高,文字笔画和花纹纹饰最细处仅头发丝粗细,打印成型的公祭鼎模型表面文字清晰、花纹细腻、线条流畅、形态端庄。
